Jens Petersen

I'm a research scientist at Qualcomm AI Research Netherlands, where I work on problems related to data compression and generative modeling
(see here for a full overview of our research topics).

Previously I was a postdoctoral researcher at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, and for my PhD I focused on generative models for stochastic time series, more specifically the representation of function spaces on continuous domains (see my thesis). I was one of the hosts of heidelberg.ai, scientific coordinator for the HIDSS4Health graduate school and a lead developer of the trixi machine learning framework (discontinued 💀).
